BSVS Walvanda organized Dossa Making – Livelihood training for the Tribal Women


Walvanda: Bosco Samajik Vikas Sanstha (BSVS) has organized skill training programme on Dossa making for the tribal women of Jawhar and Mokhada Talukas on March 10, 2015. This training was part of the series of trainings organized by the organization for Poverty alleviation and livelihood training programme. This programme was implemented through the support of India Infoline Ltd.(IIFL Foundation) All the participants were women. In total 112 women participated in the skill training programme. Mr. & Mrs. Shankar and Mr. Prashant from Vasai were the three main resource person for the skill training programme.
Ingredients for Dossa making, procedure of Dossa making, ingredients and process for different types of Chutneys were explained to the participants by the resource persons. Demonstrations and Practical were conducted during the skill training programme. Participants were motivated to start income generation programme during the training. Equipments required to start a Dossa making unit with its’ costing were explained to the participants by the resource persons. Fr. Anaclete D’Mello, Director-BSVS conceived and implanted this programme for the poverty alleviation of this area. Fr. Anaclete D’Mello encouraged and motivated the participants through his presence during the entire programme.
